Our Story

Zims Tribe was founded in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire in 2016

Our love for punchy spicy cuisines and melding of flavours was nurtured in Nigeria by being Mum’s, Sisters and Granny’s apprentice chef on a daily basis. One could say the foundations of Brand Zims Tribe was laid there in our humble kitchen! We love blending and creating our earthy authentic West African Jollof flavours using fresh everyday simple ingredients, so very yummy! Our flavour is worth catching! Sandy and Murph out in Andalucia, fine vegetarian chefs and purveyors of pickles, jams and all things sauces have also been inspirational and a guiding light.

Our Passion 

Zims Tribe ascribes to Nigerian-inspired flavours.  We Believe in creating essences with depth, and layers of scrumptious and delectable flavours and are Free-From additives, colouring, non-food preservatives, added sugar, as well as gluten-free, wheat-free, and plant-based.

Our unique Sauce range is blended with complementing fresh Vegetables, herbs and spices, creating essences with depth, and layers of scrumptious and delectable flavours. The Habanero chilli (Our USP) adds a warmth to the sauce, creating a balanced combined sum of the ingredients.

We use sustainable packaging and everything else is mostly recyclable or compostable.

Our Queen ingredient the Orange Habanero Chilli, Scotch Bonnet Chilli, Buth Jolokia (Ghost Pepper) and all fresh produce we source locally from Chilli Ranch farms, Edible Ornamentals in Bedford. We are glad we found Shaun and Joanna! commercial growers of chillies, herbs and vegetables. kindred spirit in the chilli growing community in tune with our ethos, like-minded business equally as passionate for fresh produce.

Our Producer

Zims Tribe spices up your palate with rich, earthy flavours that can be enjoyed as a versatile accompaniment to meals, snacks, or nibbles. To Create our unique flavours, we adopt a 3-method process; Reduction, Caramelization and Roasting.

Our products are flexible to Omnivores, Vegetarians, Vegans, Pescatarians, Flexitarians and versatile in use: as a sauce (rice, pasta couscous), marinade (Tofu, chicken, meat Fish, veg), relish, dip or accompaniment. The Oils as Bread Dippers, Salad Dressings and Cooking oils as well.
